I think this is a fun match up? A good way to remember the big guy (RIP) todays puncher in with the outstanding slugger from the 70s,80s and the 90s - let’s keep it clean 12 rounds best of both guys.
Wilder needs to take him out in 1-4 rounds, otherwise he's screwed. Don't forget how strong Big George is also,he did get rocked by Holyfield but he ate 20 punches straight in a combo flush and didn't really react much.
George Foreman destroys Deontay Wilder. Wilder was tremendously unskilled , plus extremely easy to hit.
Foreman by ko in the last rounds. Big George's iron jaw was with him even in the 90's, we saw it well against Morrison and Holyfield. While Wilder was not difficult to hit and hurt even by slow boxers, as happened against Ortiz.
I see this as sort of a hybrid between Duhaupas and Stiverne 1. Wilder would have an easy time moving around and people forget how active he was.
I think Old Foreman might be worse for Wilder than young Foreman. I could see Wilder clipping young Foreman kinda like how Lyle did. Old Foreman was less wild and super durable. Perhaps Wilder would have a easier time circling Old Foreman because he was slower.
I think both young and old Foreman would ko Wilder but like OddR I think young Foreman would be stunned a few times and maybe even dropped before crushing Wilder´s china chin within 6 exciting rounds. Old Foreman would struggle with Wilder´s speed early on but his ramrod jab, body work (including his highly effective though illegal clubbing right to the kidneys) would leave Wilder in an exhausted heap by the 9th round of a fun fight.
Wilder gets the Cooney treatment, then blames the loss on a "save the whales" outfit he wore heading into the ring. This content is protected
