Only stopped once in 81 fights is incredible.

Big George was an actual mythical figure, or as close to one as can happen in modern times.

There’s a bona fide picture of young George carrying a freaking COW over his shoulders.

There’s video of him pulling a pickup truck around his yard by a rope as part of his training.

He was real, but his feats were unreal.

    RIP Big George.

I doubt he is gloating either. Probably just has gratitude to still be alive like a lot of us old folks.

Maybe a remedial English class would be a good idea for you.

and by a second career best Muhammad Ali. I mean, if you’ve got to have a stoppage loss, there are worse ones than that.

"I get the feeling he might not be so sad about outlasting the others" sure doesn't sound like you're exactly complimenting the man.

What I always found particularly impressive about George Foreman was how effortless his power seemed, particularly with his comeback. He seemed to casually throw a punch and had the force to knock men senseless. I dont think I've ever seen another heavyweight who had that ability.

My father used to tell me stories about Foreman, Ali, Frazier, and other legends whilst I still believed in Santa, or so it feels. Highlights of Foreman were the very videos that got me into boxing after I genuinely disliked it because of how much it permeated my childhood.

Was meant to send a letter to the man. Never got past timid drafts.

Rest in Peace. Once again: I have a hard time imagining a life more fully lived.

It’s miles away from saying he’d be “gloating.”

Several posters got the intention. Now let George have his thread.

When we lost Frazier and Ali I was saddened but not surprised.

However I expected that big George would be with us for a bit longer.

    Thanks for the memories champ.
