This hits me harder than when Ali passed. George seemed so hale and hearty that he'd live forever. I'd love to say something heartfelt here but I don't mentally have it in me. His life speaks for itself.

RIP Big George. The last of the Golden Age has passed.

This has come as a huge shock for all of us..

I know people age and eventually pass, but I wasn't expecting to hear of this, I really wasn't..it definitely caught me cold .

I always thought he was in very good health and probably a generally good young example for someone 76 years old...

Condolences to his family and may the big man RIP.

Foreman was obviously doped. He was in the 70s and probably even more so in the 90s. That doesn't take away from his talent because all of his best opponents were too.

RIP Big George, I loved watching his comeback when I was a kid and watching his early matches after I got older, and yes I love using his grill. I've gone through 3 of them. He was one of the most genuinely likable figures in boxing history.

I wonder what the COD is, although I understand if the family wants to keep it private. With Ali and Frazier you knew they’d been declining for a long time but Foreman still looked and sounded very healthy. Typically spiritual and positive minded people live longer. Also one of the few boxers that ended his career with zero brain damage.
