Cosigned. Willie was a top ten HW through the mid 1950's, the one guy consistently most consistently up there through that era, then he dropped down to LHW. Pastrano was never decked by a head shot.
This content is protected Now we are talking! Galidez was like a travel size of Bonavena, with similar iron chin
Clinton Woods is never talked about but he had a rock solid chin his only stoppage loss in 48 fights was to a prime RJJ and that was from his corner throwing in the towel Woods was eating his shots and asking for more. Eddie Mustafa Muhammad also had a pretty good chin only stopped once in 59 fights in his last ever fight when he was completely past it. Julio Cesar Gonzalez was another one with a rock solid chin only stopped once at the end of his career by the hard hitting Tavoris Cloud in which he took a beating but he was still standing when the referee waved it off.
Maxie Rosenbloom is a great shout considering that he is one of the most pillow fisted fighters in all of boxing, meaning that he would have very little to dissuade opponents from walking him down apart from his skill and ability to eat shots.
These three belong on the Mount Rushmore of 175-pound chins. Several others mentioned here should be in consideration for the fourth spot. I’d probably go with Tunney.
