    Spot on.
George comeback win was paramount not just because it was an amazing personal feat, but also for its overall significance: Big George singlehandely demolished the notion that the 90s boxing era was somewhat superior to the 70s.

    1- Ali
    2- Louis
    3- Holmes
    4- Lewis
    5- Johnson
    6- Foreman
    7- Marciano

    After that it gets tricky..
You could make a case for Tyson or Holyfield either way, depending if you're comparing peaks vs longevity. You can say Wlad had longevity in a weak era, Listons career controlled by the mob, Frazier past his best after FOTC, Dempsey not fighting blacks, Usyk not being at heavy long enough, etc..
But these 6 would make up positions 8-14, in any particular order.

Yep on top of that the time gap was a feat that will prob never be done again. Especially in the HW division. Careers just don’t last that long nor do they stay in the upper echelon that long.
