    Clenelo isn't a serious fighter anymore. He's mentally checked out. He sure didn't have a problem fighting a scrub like Berlangy who is just as big as Benavidez and has literally beaten nothing but binmen and janitors. How can you fight Berlangy, Mung, Scull, Juan Ryder and then say with a straight face Benavidez has done nothing?

    Sure, he's a massive weight bully and his opposition hasn't been nothing to write home about, even more so when you apply context and size, but you just fought Berlangy, dude. :facepalm:

    As a side note. I watched a Crawford interview yesterday where he was asked to name his current P4P top 5 and his all time top 5 P4P

    Not sure if it's in order or not but he had himself, Inoue, Clenelo, Usyk and Twink in his current top 5

    His all time one featured SRR, SRL, Floyd, Hagler, Duran

    When quizzed about why he didn't have Manny in there (after one of the hosts assumed he would have him in there) he said there's a reason why that is. That reason being because he's a ''PED cheat''

    Crawford still resents the fact that Manny never fought him but appreciates Canelo giving him a peydey. Why badmouth the guy about to give you the biggest paycheque of your career?

    How can anyone take serious anyone that rates Tank Top 10 PFP let alone Top 5??? Tank just lost to a 20:1 underdog who never fought at 135 before...Just the usual tribalism where blacks pick blacks and latinos pick latinos, east euros pick east euros, etc.

    Also, Floyd may crack Top 20 ATG, but probably not, and lol at Top 5.

    For me Canelo can say what he wants, Benavidez won a WBC title eliminator against Ellis in March 2021 and fought for the last time at super middleweight in November 2023 confirming the WBC interim title against Andrade, so for 2 years Benavidez had the right to face the WBC world champion Alvarez. Canelo simply avoided Benavidez.

    You can’t force someone to fight you if they are determined to avoid you at all cost. We have seen it before in boxing.

    No one can force you to fight someone if you don't want to. If you are the WBC world champion and in 2 years you don't face the official WBC challenger (but instead you face John Ryder) you simply avoided the official WBC challenger, who was Benavidez.

    And yes, in boxing it happens to avoid opponents, even champions. De La Hoya avoided Wright, Dempsey avoided Wills.
