Oscar was up at halfway point and doing well with his jab. Mayweather landed overall more clean shots, but Oscar put it on him early

I watched it again the other night

He ran and potshot in both fights, edging rounds. Grade A spoiling. Oscar did better....

Oscar ran him closer but Manny put the fear of God in him. Floyd boxed smart and took no risks but I have never seen him look that scared in a fight ever.

Oscar did well in a close fight. I had Floyd beating PAC about 9-3 in a fight Floyd controlled.

    Great question.

From recollection, I’d say DLH. He certainly was doing well with his jab but appeared to abandon it in the later rounds - but I recall that post prime Oscar was gassing overall in the second half of the fight but still gave PBF a tough, competitive encounter.

PBF aged Manny out. That fight should’ve been 5 years earlier but Floyd did his utmost to avoid it.

For a fighter of Manny’s ilk, the delay made all the difference - and their actual fight also wasn’t before Marquez levelled Pac - only then did PBF find himself comfortable enough to take the fight - and he still looked damn leery in the early rounds vs Pac .

De La Hoya for me, also quite clearly. Oscar worked Floyd a lot on the body and pressured him for a good part of the match and forcing him to work on the ropes. Instead with Pacquiao Mayweather had less pressure and was able to manage his opponent better.

Oscar but lets be honest here, Floyd looked trash against Manny too. Floyd barely winning his rounds while Pacquaio had the best rounds in that fight.

Oscar made the fight very competitive because of his reach and knows exactly how to fight tall.

Exactly this, both neutralized one another. It is similar to Roy Jones vs Hopkins I. Technical fight but not a lot of action.

Oscar, a few years earlie,r might eek out the win, a little faster, a little fresher, a bit more gas in the tank.
Pac (was he injured?) only fought in spurts and it was an ugl,y forgettable fight.
