I see it as judges failing to do their job. Their job is to make that call that is what they are trained to do. 10-10 is kinda deferring their responsibility. If they really can't decide just copy the other judges card, flip a coin or something.

10-12 rounds is responsible for the influx of draws. Which is why I support bringing 15 rounds back but shorter. Then we can make the 10 rounders 12 rounders and so forth. Draw rates will plummett. Everyone will be happy.

No. Pretty much every round in boxing can be scored to a winner.

If you're someone who had the ability to win a fight clearly, and you play it safe and lose, i have no sympathy for you though.

Such as Dirrell against Froch. Fight was only close because Dre ran for 8 rounds.

Abril vs Rios, fight was only close because Abril clinched with every single punch he threw.

I think this gets to the crux of the issue with boxing scoring. There are two different types of 10-9 rounds, a dominant one and a close one. This makes things feel disappointing when a guy loses a close decision but appears to "win the fight"

I don't love the idea of judges wielding even more power to decide rounds or have more interpretation but I don't know a better solution. I know there was that 10-9 and 10-9.5 attempt a few years back

If you leave a fight closer than you should and go to the judges you take a big risk
