For all his weaknesses Tubbs was actually incredibly fast and very fluid when he was at his best and he could really move especially for a bigger man. If we are talking about a meeting between the two in peak form Tubbs takes this and its one sided.
I am going to go with Moorer. Moorer was a right handed southpaw which meant that while he did not have a strong straight left hand, he had a very powerful right jab and a strong right hook. Moorer's southpaw jab would greatly reduce the effectiveness of Tubbs's jab. It wouldn't completely take it away but it would certainly reduce its effectiveness. Tubbs does have faster hands so i expect his quicker hands to allow him to land on Moorer and score points. Still, i think he will be frustrated by how difficult it is to jab Moorer. I think Moorer will land the occasional big right hook which will be difficult for Tubbs to deal with defensively since its coming from the opposite angle of what he is accustomed to. Moorer is the better puncher for me and combined that with his ability to take the jab away and score with his own very powerful jab, i expect him to win a close competitive decision. Moorer UD 7-5. Good fight. I actually don't see this as a boring fight at all.
