It seems Spencer has an issue with the judges. If he pulls out Andrei Mikhailovich is saying he'll be the replacement.

LOL it is always the yanks whining about judges and making excuses. There is never a problem like this when an Aussie fights abroad.

When an Australian fights in America, it's always at least two American judges & an American referee. But when an American fights out here, it's not fair unless it's completely 'neutral' officials.

I say call their bluff & let them go home if they want. Timmy shouldn't be fighting Spencer first up following a devastating kayo defeat anyway. He'd be better off in with Mikhailovich or Zerafa.

"While all fight judges are determined by the officiating body – in this case, the Combat Sports Authority of NSW -- Spencer insists his team were promised the same mixed judging panel used for previous Tszyu title fights in Australia against Tony Harrison and Brian Mendoza.

Spencer added the notion of having two independent judges had been “key” when signing on to fight Tszyu.
“When I was offered to come out here and fight Tim Tszyu, that was the only caveat I had,” he said."

If it's something that the promoter had promised, then surely they should honour that agreement. And if the judges are selected by the CSA of NSW, then the promoters should have mentioned this during the pre-fight negotiations.

There always seems to be some type of drama with every No Limit show?
    What a fcken ****-show.

It comes down to the Combat Sports Board. The judges won't be neutral as it's not a world title fight.

Hey mate just curious why you think he shouldn't be fighting Spencer? I don't think Spencer is that dangerous and if Tim can't beat a guy like him then his chances on the world stage are done.

I think coming in off two straight defeats including a devastating kayo loss they should have played it safer with his first opponent back. I haven't seen much of Spencer but I watched some highlights of his fight with Jesus Ramos (his only loss) & thought he had his moments against a genuine top 10 Junior Middle who fought very well against him. So he knows what the standard needs to be at the pointy end of the division & has three fights since in order to get there. He's coming in off a competitive 10-rounder & has been out here for a while. He's ticking boxes that need to be ticked in order to pull an upset. Where Tim is right now coming off a devastating defeat remains to be seen.

I just saw that the issue with the judges has been sorted and the Spencer kid is now happy.

Turns out I was wrong and the Combat Sports Authority have relented. Can’t remember this happening before. Interesting.

Sadly, judging from Timmy's interview at the media day today, still seems like the arrogant flop he was before the Bakhram Murtazaliev fight.

Hope Joey gives him a flogging.
