My problem with Ibeabuchi is that despite his power and workrate, he was no great boxer and his punches came slowly. Douglas was boxing really well against Tyson and I think that Ike's lack of speed would bite him in the ass against this version of Douglas.
I am going to go with Douglas although not entirely confidently. Ike's two best wins were outstanding. But both Byrd and Tua had unusual styles. Byrd was a highly slick southpaw with below average power. Byrd wasn't particularly tall either. As such, he had nothing to keep Ike at bay with. Tua was a hard hitting granite chinned slugger with short arms and a fairly predictable style. Douglas is different. He is taller than Ike and has an 83 inch reach which is significantly longer than Byrd. While Douglas is not the puncher that Tua was, Douglas did have legitimate above average heavyweight power compared to feather fisted Byrd. Douglas, unlike Byrd, can keep Ike at the end of his jab and land fast hard combos with enough power as to make Ike respect him. Douglas is the taller and quicker man here and if he fights the same type of fight he did vs Tyson, he should win a decision albeit a competitive one since Ike had amazing stamina, good power and good combinations. My only hesitation in picking Douglas is his tendency to overuse the uppercut and telegraph it at times. Holyfield nailed him with a perfect straight right cross when Douglas telegraphed the uppercut. Could Ike do the same? Maybe. I am not sure if Ike quite had the quickness that Holyfield did. I do think Tokyo Douglas being in better shape in Tokyo would allow him a better chance to get up from a knockdown than the lazy one who fought Holyfield. Ike is excellent but we simply don't know how he would handle a skilled tall outboxer with fast hands and above average power. We can't compare Byrd to Douglas. Douglas is a lot taller, has much longer arms and hits harder. We just don't know if Ike can cut the ring vs such a fighter. Douglas competitive UD 12, 8-4.
