Fury is the only fight Usyk has had in which it felt like he didn't know the answer for a couple of rounds.

Briedis was just a tough, technical, grinding fight all around.

Joshua got him good in the 9th, and he roared back in the tenth. I don't think it was playing possum, but there was definitely an element of taking a round off.

With Chisora he just gave up the first couple of rounds like he always does when he is bored.

By the way, I would like to contribute round three of the WSB fight with Nistor, who hurt him and cut him.

    Fury 1, round 6.

I thought Fury had cracked the code, and in no other round did Usyk ever looked so lost until he turned it around. Definitely fight of the Century.

It was Fury that put the fear of God in him, honestly. Usyk literally asked God to help him survive in round 6.

The fact people thought Fury was going to win at around that stage says it all.

As for his turnaround, it was impressive yes, but it really was based on the one punch he landed which won him 3-4 rounds on the cards due to the KD then the recovery rounds Fury needed after all those clean shots to the head. Of course, that's boxing and Uysk landed the shot, but it was a pretty rare hit he couldn't repeat in the second fight and I suspect it was also helped by Fury's concussion from the circus fight.

I don't believe it was some tactical change that won him that fight, it was really a single LH he landed and if he hadn't he'd possibly have lost. Fury was looking competitive again in 11/12.

Usyk is a clever boxer who knows when to take a round off. In most of those fights it felt like a controlled loss of a round to come back stronger in subsequent rounds; focusing on downloading data or conserving energy and exploiting that later.

In Fury 1 however, Usyk looked very uncomfortable for a few rounds, and it peaked in that round where he was just eating uppercuts and body shots. The one time I actually feared for him, but he pulled through like the warrior he is.

It’s crazy how good Usyk because Round 6 in Fury 1 was the only time I ever thought he was in serious trouble in his whole career.

Out of curiosity did Bellew out land Usyk in any rounds? I seem to remember that Bellew had a couple decent rounds but more due to Usyk not doing much.

    Fury 1 Round 6.

Of all these examples (and they're all great choices to be put to a vote), this was the only one which watching live, caused my heart skip a beat as it had me believing, if only for a moment (a tense moment nonetheless,) that I might be witnessing the moment in which Usyk isn't only bested but beaten decisively.
I only wish the second fight had Iived up to the expectations this round seeded in my heart as a fan of the sport. I'm more than content in the knowledge that his detractors haven't yet (and probably never will have) any reason to gloat but, if they did, it would probably be this round.

Only in the 3rd round he outlanded Usyk 11-10.

I do remember Bellew was quite competitive with Usyk but I always felt Usyk had another gear and he would turn it up sooner or later which he did.

I didn't score Uysk Bellew but I think Bellew won a couple rounds.

Definitely in the Fury fight. As others have said, there was a moment of "oh crap, he's going to lose this".

Fury round 6 by far. This is the only time Usyk has looked like he's in real pain in a fight.

Fury 1 Round 6 for sure, watching live felt like usyk was gearing up to at least getting knocked down going into the next round. A fury win was looking very plausible at that point. Didn't get that feeling of urgency for usyk in those other fights.

Fury round 6. The one moment I feared age caught up to him.

I thought Fury was taking over at that point and Usyk was on his way to being stopped. It was a nightmare round for Usyk.
