Quite an achievement. I know it was Wilfredo Giomez's first fight, but Jacinto Fuentes has a draw with Wilfredo Gomez! Just like Salvador Sanchez was the first one to beat Gomez, Fuentes was the first one to tie with him.

In a rematch, Gomez obliterated him in 2 rounds. He also had a loss against Eusebio Pedroza.

I wonder whatever happened to him after boxing?

    No idea.

In a small way, I guess he’s the Pat Lawlor of his generation.

Lawlor is a lucky journeyman honestly,if I was him I would've been telling tales up until my 3rd generation,if I ever had a wife.

Damned skippy: Beat Duran and Benitez back to back!

Hagler, Hearns and Leonard wish they could say that!!!!

I think it clear in retrospect that it should have been the Fab Six: Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Benitez and Lawlor.
