Tyson lunged in until Douglas showed everybody how to handle him. He fought tomato's cans and old men, similar to Torrez.

 

Welp, time to round out the day with some boxing down under. Seeya fellas!

 

I did not watch the fight i thought Torrez would edge a close fight via volume. Did he really look that bad ?

 

Lineal world heavyweight champion, all of the alphabet champions, multiple top ten contenders, 9 defenses before he was beaten by Douglas.

So.....just like Torres?

 

A bit harsh on Torrez in here. This was a big step up against a tricky opponent. He got through it and clearly won. That was a test he passed, he'll only be better for it.

 

Not that bad. Vianello is ok, and he got it done. But it felt like a hard limit on his capabilities, is all.

 

No most of them suck now.

 

He looks like a bum to me. I think baby Anderson would beat the crap out of him.

 

He looked like a prospect stepping up a few levels. He overcame a couple of dangerous moments, showed some bottle and got the win. Guido is hovering in that Top 10-15 bracket and has mileage on him so it is a good win.

Based on that fight, a net negative for Torrez is that he looks far too raw to go for it against legit contenders right now. He needs maturing.

I implore you to watch the highlights rather than judge the fight by those horrendous scorecards.

Edit - actually don't bother. The highlight video is almost as bad as the scorecards and only shows the rounds Torrez won lol.

 

I'd love to see that if Andy has anything left. He was a tough SOB as a young man. He would easily beat Torrez if he is ready and training properly.

 

Some Cruiserweights can box though.

Baloney. Tyson fought a lot of top HWs. Tyson would eat a guy like Torrez for lunch. Tyson would have stopped Torrez in one to two rounds.
