DAZN seem so desperate to present boxing as a cross between WWE and Celebrity Love Island.

Don't want to see Joyce again after that the blokes asking for brain damage and problems later in life keep taking shots like that all night.
He needs to be saved from himself.

Adam smith was a disgrace on comms setting up a potential robbery like he’s done his whole career but I’m dissapointed in Carl cfampton, he’s either forgot everything he knows about boxing or he’s gone full company man

Lost all credibility as a serious boxing platform when they got Parsons on last night.

DAZN is trying too hard to cater to everyone rather than let the content speak for itself.

Parson's being used to create superficial connections with his segment links, interviewing drunk women and some z listers who are only there on a freebie to get noticed, and so they continue the facade that they're living their best life to their followers on Instagram.

DAZN really needs to stop being influenced by Hearn and Warren, especially in hires and direction. judging by the comments here, you could sum up the channel as lacking authenticity and being an energy drain with no clear direction and superficial connections, along with biased commentary wanting to avoid conflicts.

Aside from that, it was an Ok card; I would like to see Adeleye v Bosh if Fisher gets past Allen, as that will be that.

O'Regan and Joyce showed a lot of heart last night but took a lot of punishment; Joyce will obviously carry on until someone cements him to the canvas. TKV will feel hard done by, as that shot was clearly on the break, but it just about sums up the show; the referees were almost as bad as the production.

Sky in the 90s had the ideal setup for boxing, but now, with the social media generation, nobody wants to be nameless. Thus, even the presenters and attendees are looking to get noticed and what you're left with is the shallow effect.

I'd love to know what the time served proper boxing journalists / commentators/ pundits etc actually think of Parsons and him being given that opportunity. He's like the thick work experience kid who never left.

Some of my mates are hard-nosed 30-year-experience sports journalists - football, boxing and horse racing mostly. The sort of people who would sit on a story in return for a better one later on, people who give up being a 'fan' to preserve the sports they cover.

For the last 15 years they have been constantly interfered with by the likes of Parsons, in their early 20, some of whom became independent "heads of digital" able to override editorial decisions in the name of "more content". Invariably they come and go, and it's the guys who put in the leg work to actually understand people, and weather the occasional fall-out for being honest, who are still there now adapting to the times just as they always have.

There's a reason the likes of Colin Hart and even old Buncey stayed in work, because ultimately journalism is about trust, relationships and longevity for when 'content' actually matters. Matchroom uses a lot of these young guys purely for promotional and short-term reasons but they forget, when they wanted to get Prize Fighter going in the very early days who was the long-timer trying to make it look credible? Bunce. Who put it in the papers and ran with Audley Harrison's comeback story? Hart, Powell, etc.

Parsons will probably end up rich and running some awful reality TV production business in 10 years - good luck to him - but he does zero for the sport.

Joyce should have had a huge money fight and this is probably the only option left.

Suits both men as Team Humble need to come out of hiding soon and face an older name that he can beat or roll the dice against a less experienced fresh hungry fighter such as Itauma.

Got a feeling that whatever the public want, they are getting Joshua v Whyte 2.

I had Hrgovic by a round. One round. I can see why some had it a draw but the right man won. Entertaining fight to watch.

As someone who used to make a living writing and with the occasional radio/TV gig you can probably guess how I feel when decades of honing your craft, developing contacts and building trust are pushed aside in favour of some bright spark with no discernible talent except self-promotion who will often work for a link to their YouTube channel.

Serves them right! They should stop having insightful, well thought out boxing opinions and just call Hearn ‘Edwardinho’ and take the mick out of his clothes instead, the bloody idiots.

I don’t want to sound like a stuck record on this but why does Adam Smith have to have a pre-fight narrative that he then tries to reinforce during the fight. He’s had a horrible illness, is clearly a nice fella but he is almost in a league of his own when it comes to terrible commentators, and there’s some right sh1te about. I thought we’d seen the last of him when he was booted out of Sky but he’s back now like the proverbial bad smell. I know there’s some people on here who think he’s the best bits of Reg Gutteridge, Harry Carpenter and Ian Darke but I’m so glad to have witnessed those three, we didn’t know how lucky we were.
