Whyte or Itauma could be next for Hrgovic according to Warren.

Poor as Hrgovic is I don't think Whyte would have much of a chance. He's been stopped three times with uppercuts now

And we all know Warren is strategically mentioning Itauma's name in this context before announcing he will be fighting someone we have barely heard of.

 Even an old ass Whyte has enough left in him to take advantage of Hrgovic´s abysmal stamina.
Stylistically speaking, Whyte is all wrong for Hrgovic due to Whyte´s love of body punching.

The Croatian wins another competitive decision here.

Would be a big step up for Ituama. So looks like Hrgovic will be fighting Whyte.

I don't know, I think I'd still favour Whyte - Hrgovic struggled with Joyce who's just as shot and arguably the lesser fighter prime for prime...

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Whyte beat Hrgovic.

The fact that hrgo can't dominate guys as faded as Joyce says a lot about where he's not going as a pro

Wouldn't believe either until it's signed... Far too often a fight gets mentioned or rumoured just to drum up interest in a fighter who's getting forgotten - and even then, sometimes they're testing the waters to see whether there's much enthusiasm for it.

In this case, it could be they've seen Hrgovic struggle with Joyce and thought it's a good fight for both Whyte and Hrgo... But that still doesn't necessarily mean they're serious about making it happen.

I'd favour Hrgovic against Whyte. Probably a middle rounds stoppage. Unless those cuts reopen I don't see Whyte hurting Him before he hurts Whyte.
I need to see more of Itauma before I favour him over anybody in the top 10.

I'd pick prime Whyte over Hrgovic. I'm not sure current Dillian has the punch resistance.

Itauma is a more interesting fight to me. It's a step up but he has a lot of potential.

There are threads asking if Itauma has “any” weaknesses…

Cleary, it’s time for him to step up.

Kid looks good. But that's been the case with many highly regarded prospects until they get tested. He's going to eventually fight someone who doesn't bowl over in the first couple of rounds and asks some questions of him. That's when we'll know if he's really the goods or not.

Hrgovic IMO would beat Whyte in a close fight if he can control his stamina and has a bit of luck on his side with cuts too. Its a tough fight as Whyte is a good body puncher and is experienced also in the sense that he has quite a versatile style - he is solid enough outboxing, infighting and swarming.

But, I think Hrgovic will be fresh enough off the Joyce fight - and is in his prime. Whereas, Whyte is a bit shot and hasn't had a good fight in a while so the ring rust may linger and cost Whyte.

Hrgovic close points win. 8 to 4 rounds to his favour.

However, Itauma fighting Hrgovic would be a very risky and silly move IMO on Itauma's side. Hrgovic is far too experienced, tough and skilled right now for Itauma and I think Hrgovic would stop him in the mid rounds if they fight soon.

Itauma should focus on weak to mid gatekeepers like Wallin or Vianello.
