The one that Turki wants which is Beterbiev plus Benavidez was pricing himself out and trying to set demands when he's not even a champ.
I don't know, Brother Olu. Benavidez is much younger than Beterbiev and much bigger than him, let alone much bigger than Bivol but if Benavidez was the same size as Bivol I wouldn't give him a chance in hell of beating him.
The Benavidez camp never wanted the fight, which is why they enforced their mandatory, and refused a lucrative step aside offer. What a shameless ducker!
How can you calling enforcing your mandatory a duck? I don’t think Bivol is ducking him either but wants to take the lucrative pay day His Excellency is offering for the trilogy 1st. David Benavidez has been waiting, first Canelo ducked him so why should he wait any longer.
With the exception of the Clenelo fight and even then he was criminally underpaid compared to numerous other far inferior to him Clenelo opponents, Bivol was earning peanuts for a champion of his supreme talent and accomplishments prior to Turki getting involved so obviously he feels gratitude and loyalty to him and as I've already explained the rubber match between the two Kings needs to happen ASAP due to Beterbiev's age. Funny how people are accusing or insinuating Bivol is ducking Benavidez because he's fighting a rubber match against the #2 in the division who obviously holds a win over him whilst completely ignoring the fact that Team Benavidez refused to face the then undisputed champion Bivol (now three-belt unified champion) on neutral ground when he's the freaking challenger and in no position to dictate anything to King Bivol. Any Benavidez fan with a slither of integrity would've called out that female dog move from the outset but all we heard from them was crickets. Why on earth should the undisputed or three-belt unified king agree to fight the challenger in their country which is notorious for stacking the deck with a full set of home officials for world title fights vs foreigners over there and robbing fighters from Bivol's part of the world time and time and time again vs their best boys? But Benavidez won't agree to fight Bivol in neutral Saudi?
I agree, he'd be tougher and I think Bivol believes Benavidez would be tougher since he's ducking him like he was trying to serve a subpoena on him,, Just like Canelo..
He was given a chance to fighting for ALL the belts in a neutral country. He refused. His promoter refused. Benevidez's promoter tried to diminish Bivol's drawing power by claiming that he only made $2.7 million against Beterbiev, when he got $10 million. This is a case of a B-Side trying to acting like an A-Side and using politics to force a fight in the US or get the champ stripped. Haney went to Australia to fight Kambosos. Fulton went to Japan to fight Inoue. Dubai is not even the champion's home country. It's neutral territory. Instead of potentially winning all 4 belts, the Benevidez team bitched out and ended with an email belt because they're too scared to fight Bivol, the undisputed champ in Dubai. What a shameless ducker indeed.
What youre implying is a bit contradicting. If it goes to purse bid Bivol would receive 70% of the winning bid compared to 30% for Benavidez , therefore it made absolutely no sense for Bivol to pull out. Simply put Bivol isn't interested or Turki isn't interested but it's likely both of them and as I already stated the the purse split leans heavily in Bivol's favor so your theory about Benavidez pricing himself out is incorrect.
He was trying to make it 55/45 and only wanted to fight in the US which is ridiculous for someone who wasn't even a champ at the time.
https://www.essentiallysports.com/b...fight-purse-leading-to-possible-cancellation/ Benavidez side requested 55-45 split in Bivol’s favor. WBC didn’t give him that but has agreed to amend the split, allowable under the rules, to 60-40 in Bivol’s favor,” he added. When a user pressed Rafael, asking whether the fight was happening, he responded, stating, “Not necessarily. It’s just what the WBC ordered and what [the] Benavidez camp wants. Bivol has other options.” Can't believe the Benevidez team try to get a 55-45 split when he had 0 belts.
Benavidez should be saying: ''Yes Sir, Mr Bivol, you're the champ and the King and I am but a mere lowly peasant and I will fight you wherever the hell you want me to, sir, even if it's in Russia with a home ref and three home judges like we do over here damn near all the time.'' Imagine trying to dictate terms to the undisputed champion or three-belt unified one now after that fat toad Mauricio suddenly decided to start enforcing mandatories when Benavidez is the challenger. Bivol has NOT said he will not fight Benavidez next should he win the rubber match and unlike massive weight bully Benavidez he's a road warrior who has fought in his opponent's backyards and on the road many times at the world level and he's not only fighting guys his size but he's routinely fighting bigger or much bigger ones and on the road and in their backyards too Benavidez has the opportunity to become a road warrior and fight outside of North America for the first time in his career and it's against a much smaller guy he outweighs by at least 12lbs bare minimum but he's already pulled the duck at the first hurdle despite him being in no position to dictate terms to the King, who was undisputed when he pulled the duck, and is still the three-belt unified King, Ring magazine champ, and the undisputed #1 in the division.
Thanks i wasn't aware of this. I'm not sure how I feel about the amended split but I'm just assuming that a Vegas fight Benavidez would still be more lucrative than a rubber match with Beterbiev. But it is what it is, I'll watch the trilogy fight although I don't care to see it and hopefully Benavidez finds a decent opponent as well.
