Terry Norris v John Mugabi. Bit of a shocker based on how tough a fight the Beast gave Hagler.

    May v Chico

Paq v Oscar. Pac went on to bludgeon other welters but this was rather shocking at the time. Oscar the clear betting favorite.

    Spinks v Cooney

    Sanchez v Gomez

i think one of the criteria is [harder puncher] = [stopped].

though winky in general is a walk down master.

i'll say Clottey - Judah in the high guard walking down the harder puncher.

Norris Mugabi was a shocker alright; I was shocked that a man who took everything Marvin Hagler had for 10 and a half rounds folded up like he'd been shot when hit by,,,,Norris? Not only was Mugabi a shell of himself , he was a cracked shell.

Not that he was clearly a heavier hitter, but Davey Moore racked up an impressive series of KOs at a heavier weight class and was bruited about to be the next Hagler.... until he was obliterated by a previously written-off and heavily underdogged Roberto Duran.

Re Fury-Wilder 2 (and 3), I wasn't shocked; rather, I was thinking "It's about time" -- that someone figured out Wilder could be putty against a heavier opponent who simply pushed him back on his heels.

Re Kabayel-Zhang, it was vintage Kabayel: chopping down big trees with crippling bodyshots. And he proved his chin like never before; not many guys would've risen after taking a flush Zhang shot like that. Makes me wonder why more HWs don't go to the body more often....

Re Mugabi-Norris, yes that happens... a fearsome hitter enduring a tough fight with Hagler then facing his next opponent as a shell of his former self (see Duran, Roberto).

A tiny lightweight beating the crap out of a jr.middleweight was insane.
Imagine Lamont Roach in his next fight beating Vergil Ortiz or Terrence Crawford at 147. Madness.

Oscar De La Hoya vs Fernando Vargas

Clearly Vargas was the bigger, stronger puncher, while Oscar was the more technical fighter.

Kabayel is one of the best body punchers that I’ve seen in a long time. He’s truly committed to destroying his opponents body to get them out of there.
