Wilder did KO Fury. Fury beat the **** out of him 97% of the time though. Just saying I could see a ref calling it off and i could see AJ delivering the same sort of ringer. Outside of that I reckon Fury's got the better dance moves.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "prime" Anthony Joshua. I'm pretty sure he was "prime" when 41 year old Wladimir Klitschko had him out on his feet, but refused to finish him off for some reason. I think he was "prime" when Andy Ruiz KO'd him. I do remember him fighting just once a year, often against a 40-something, in his "prime" because he has never been a top HW.

Always thought AJ would be a bad matchup for Fury, even prime for prime. AJ by mid/late rounds KO. I'd give more chances for prime Wilder to beat Joshua to be honest.

Fury pre 30 stone and 3 year hiatus on coke would batter him

Fury from Wilder trilogy would also batter him, but may have to climb of the deck

Now? I still favour Fury, but he is shot, so Aj could deck him if he isn't mentally broke following his humiliating beaten by Dubois

In all fairness Wlad had been hurt himself badly in R5 so finishing AJ off wasn't as easy as it looks but yeah ideally Wlad needed to get AJ out of there.

I just do not trust Anthonys ability to recover when hurt. I know Fury can but the first time he gets Anthony in trouble its over with.

AJ isn't a has been: he is a never-was. As HW champion he would fight just once a year, often against someone 39-41 years old. It was pathetic. Now, he last fought in September, getting absolutely smashed by Dubois, and his manager "Fast Eddie" Hearn is pretending that he has a mysterious injury and won't fight again until the fall. In other words, he's back to being a once-a-year wonder, a man who fights as often as Christmas comes. He is not a top 10 HW and does not deserve to be ranked as one. He is a fraud.

Why you still spewing this nonsense? He fought twice in 2016, twice in 2017, twice in 2018 and twice in 2019, LOL. And these 39-41 year olds were the best in the division who wanted to fight him.

He was the consensus best heavyweight on the planet from April 2017 to June 2019.

From 2019-2022 AJ fought just 5 times. 5 fights in 4 years. He last fought in September, and won't fight again until later this fall. . .again, a once-a-year wonder. He's not even a full-time athlete, for crying out loud. As to pretending that he was good, and proved it by repeatedly fighting shot boxers 39-41 years old, that speaks for itself. He is a fake, manufactured HW who has been exposed repeatedly.

You're hilarious, lol. You won't mention AJ fought 5 times between April 2023 and September 2024, right? If you take the average between 2016 and 2024 you have 17 fights, which gives you 2 fights a year. Your math ain't mathin'.

Yeah what stands out about Fury is his recovery which is incredible.

There are probably guys who take single shots or multiple shots better than Fury but they don't have his powers of recovery.

Give me a break. AJ fought the worst set of bums imaginable, 40 something Robert Helenius, an MMA fighter. . .why are you trying to protect this guy? AJ stinks, and this is widely known. He will fight just once this year, as he so often does, probably against yet another guy who qualifies for Social Security. SMH. . .

In their primes Id favor Joshua

Even though I think Fury is the better overral fighter and should be rated higher, I think Joshua matches up well with him

That leaning and mauling Fury did vs WIlder wont be as effecitve vs AJ as Joshua is a body puncher, has a left hook and a great uppercut.

Joshuas chin and lack of head movement are usually his problem (along with gas tank) but Fury isnt a huge puncher

    Joshua 9th round KO

At the point im less confident in my Joshua pick as Joshua is probably more shop worn post the Dubious KO

Fury would have got up for a fight with AJ. He wouldn't have viewed AJ as he did McDermott, Wallin or Ngannou. Whereas AJ was in "great shape" when Ruiz made him jack on his U.S. debut, and when Dubois knocked him stiff in 5.

"Therefore the likely outcome in real life is that Fury gets knocked out."

This is projecting Wlad's relative psychological weakness and choke-artist tendencies onto Fury.
