Quick breakdown. Ennis uses his height and reach to keep Stanionis at bay. Boots has the slight edge after the first four rounds as Eimantas slowly finds his range as he presses forward. After Stanionis finds his grove, he starts have more success in the inside and this forces Ennis to go toe to toe with him. The last rounds are filled with tough exchanges as both combatants keep throwing heavy leather and are hurt multiple times during the finale.

Finally after twelve rounds. Ennis is awarded an unanimous decision. Scorecards: 118-110x2 and 119-110.

Staniones is a guy who has already received two knockouts in his career... he's not at 100%... I consider that will be a key factor for Jaron to stop him... Jaron is going to receive some good blows but he will assimilate them well... he's a guy with a good jaw... perhaps at some point the fight will become difficult for him but he will win.

Who exactly are you talking about? Stanionis is undefeated, and has never been dropped as a pro or stopped as a pro or amateur. Sure, he's had two fights cancelled and is coming off of a long period of inactivity, but he's a bit of a gym rat, who's always ready to go.

Personally I think it's going to be a close fight. Slight edge to Ennis but not counting out Stanionis' chances. I have a feeling this fight might end up being similar to Raymond Ford vs Nick Ball where it comes down to clean accurate punches against higher workrate.

I don't think Stanionis is ready for this level of step up. Huge step up from what he's been facing.

Stanionis will have to win all 12 rounds to get a Draw.

I think Stanionis will do better than the odds are suggesting, but ultimately fall short. If it were just for the IBF title though I'd give him an even better chance, what with their rehydration limits and all. But since that's not a requirement in Unification bouts, Ennis will greatly benefit from the absence of that. In fact it's probably bought him a few extra fights at the weight, but he really shouldn't stay at 147 much longer if he wants to avoid all that dehydrating eventually ***** slapping him.

I'd love for Stanionis to spring the upset and it is not at all beyond the pale, but I'm picking Ennis in a close decision. Close on unbiased scorecards anyways.
