I loved watching reruns of that old movie when I was a kid.

Mighty Joe Young KO 1 Da Preem. Made shorter work of Primo than both Max Baer and Joe Louis did.

I've read that the gorilla was mob connected and that Primo "threw" (pun very much intended) the fight.

George Foreman with some cute, playful bunnies.

The cute bunny on the left is my favourite but both look very cuddly.

Say it ain’t true Mighty Joe!

Greg, you’ve shattered my long held idolisation of Mr Joseph Young.

Max Baer’s son Jethro’s Granny Clampett once fought a giant jackrabbit.

You can see how overrated Joe Louis is from this film, he refused to fight Joe Young despite having the greatest debut victory of all time vs Primo Carnera, just besides W Ring.

    The real uncrowned,undefeated undisputed imo

    Agreed.

Mr Joseph Young is a glaring omission on Mr Louis’ resume.

Ngannou’s debut vs Tyson Fury wasn’t a patch on Mr Young’s total obliteration and emasculation of Satchel Feet.

When it comes to Louis vs Young, the must fight that never happened, we know exactly who was running and hiding from who.

Hasn't Mike Tyson become something of a pigeon expert as a 2nd career? Think he owns many pigeons. He had a show on Animal Planet a long time ago.

Pigeons have been Mike’s thing forever.

Pot and edibles have become his second careers.

I’m not sure. Haven’t heard that, but considering he raised pigeons as a teenager it wouldn’t surprise me if he took it up later in life.

Bob Fitzsimmons also owned a bear.

I’ve previously seen a pic of Jeffries with said bear.

Anyway, here’s another “take it as you will” old school newspaper report, describing Bob Fitz’s boxing skills coming to the fore to KO the ultimately overmatched bear.

Tbh, I’m a bit disappointed that they didn’t credit the finisher as being Bob’s trademark solar plexus punch.

Everyone knows that bears can’t take it to the bread basket (aka: “Slats) so I think they could’ve floated and included Bob’s specialised punch in the story also without raising too many eyebrows. :D
