I don't think that's something you could really predict. He could have felt motivated and strong throughout training camp and then in the second round of the fight realised he didn't really care, didn't really want to be there. Often you wouldn't know if you're willing to dig deep at this point in time until you're in that position where you absolutely have to.

Boots is still a damn good boxer IMO.
Yes, he loves to admire his work which also creates him catching clean punches way too often.

Nice win but he also should stay active and grind. There is always a guy out there grinding, bleeding and focusing on just getting “His Opportunity “!!

These guys just fighting 3 times or less a year are financially wise but not really taking the fight game seriously anymore

I thought he was a tad overrated, he's a good solid professional fighter but this fight exposed his true level.

Boots looked pretty good and powerful. But man he got hit a lot in a fight he was clearly winning.

and why did Stan’s corner waive it off after one bad round? It’s not like he was being outclassed to the point where he couldn’t land. He was regularly nailing Boots with hard shots.

Stanionis doesn't have a single decent win & has only fought once since 2022 .. these American Fighters are so overrated lately it's laughable.. they don't do anything and get crowned pound for pound Kings .. their careers in comparison to past greats are a joke

Stan shouldn't have taken the fight then...he knew the risk, no excuses after the fact. The time to make them is before the fight.

Karen is smaller than Stan & he had no problem with Boots.

    CRY HARDER!!!

Its not Boots fault that he's more athletic than Stan.

No one put a gun to Stan head to take the fight, he should have declined the fight if he knew Boots was his athletic better.

How bad is Stan if he couldn't even beat Broner v2...Karen had no problems with Broner v2.

    Congrats to Boots.
Btw what do you think guys.

Here is 18 years old Stanionis with 5 years boxing experience outboxing fresh olympics bronze medalist in their national championship final. Just look how much lighter on his feet he was. I know he already made history by becoming first pro champ from his country, but was it a good decision to transform himself into pillow fisted pressure fighter considering all his attributes?

I don't give a dam about Stanionis I am just calling what I see.
Also Stan is in no position to be knocking back what was likely his biggest pay day and Karen got Boots when he had to comply with the IBF rehydration clause Boots did not have to do this against Stan which shows the amount of size he put on after the weigh in was a huge advantage.

Yes you do, you're making excuses for him.

You are NOT apart of Stan team, you have no incite on his financial situation.

Great, nothing stopped Stan team for putting a rehydration clause in his contract with Boots. Other fighters do it.

You must be new to Boxing, every fighter rehydrates. There is NOTHING in the rules that says a fighter can't rehydrate to whatever they want AFTER they make weight at the weigh-in. Again if Stan had a problem with Boots weight gain, put a clause in the contract or don't go through with the fight. There was no gun to Stan head to take this fight.

    MAKING EXCUSES for Stan....sheesh.

We have different opinions of what is an excuse and what it a fact.
As if Ennis would agree to any demands made by Stan his team would just tell him to get lost. I have heard this a bunch of times with people that have the same opinion as you. Yes you are right Stan did not have to take the fight but he is a fighter and that is his job but that does not mean Ennis did not have a size advantage. I also have no doubt that this was Stan's biggest pay day a lot of people in life take risks for good money. I am not saying Stan had a problem with anything I am just pointing out what I saw. Ennis did not break any rules he won the fight fair and square I am just pointing out that he had a clear size advantage.
