Ortiz has a lot more flaws.

Just to throw this out there, Ennis was stunned on multiple occasions and seem kind of concussed after the Chukhadzhian match, and got noticeably buzzed by Stanionis. That does not bode well for his chances at 154. Because those two might be the most feather fisted fighters at 147. I mean Stanionis went the distance with Dulorme for **** sake, that's appalling. Hell he was barely able to get perennial glass jaw Justin DeLoach out of there either, it took him until the 9th round.

Every fighter gets clipped. Actually watch him against Stanionis a top 5 welterweight and count how many times he gets clipped compared to other elite fighters in title fights. It's all an illusion

Why does nobody say this, Ortiz gets clipped even more on average, and you can look at his lower level fights to prove it, forget the elite level, Vergil was getting tagged up by Marice Hooker. Styles make fights. Ortiz is made to order for Ennis. Madrimov doesn't have the dog or the workrate i knew Ortiz would beat him

Unfortunately for Ennis, Ortiz has far more dog in him then Chukhadzhian, and hits thrice hard, and even that might be a conservative estimate. Also, the way Karen fought that night was made to order for Ennis as well.

Idk Karen was pretty tricky that night was pushing angles like a rubix cube. Ortiz has a more impressive resume for a contender I'll give him that, but the Mckinson and Marice Hooker fights don't aspire confidence against a style like Ennis

I’m not gonna lie, going 12 with Dulorme is a red flag.

Watching the Ennis Stan highlights makes it look like Stan was winning until he quit. Seriously, Boots doesn't land clean punches and gets caught flush repeatedly. I feel like the boxing world is gaslighting me into believing that Boots is something he is not. I want to be a fan of an athletic switch-hitter but truthfully he simply lacks boxing skills. He is big and fast, that was clearly too much for the light-punching Stan. That won't be the case with opponents at 154, I can't see him doing anything.

Ortiz also has a lot more skills, can punch, and isn't small like Boots opponents so far. I just don't see how Boots can compete at 154. He throws fast flashy punches that don't land, I don't see anything in his toolkit.

No way! Ortiz get hit, but not flush the way boots does with his chin up in the air and while he’s about to throw a punch.

And in turn what does Ennis do better?

I'm not actually saying your wrong but curious on your opinion

Getting punched in the face is never an illusion

The rate at which he gets hit can't be much higher than other title holders. By the raw stats Crawford got tagged about as much by Avanesyan, Crawford got hit less per round but landed way less shots, but apparently Boots defense is terrible in comparison. I'm telling you it's an illusion, look at how many punches he slips and rolls, that work never gets credited. Boots chin can be in the air but he has a solid chin, it isn't just his size, you will see at 154. Boots spars bigger guys all the time

It’s obvious that he does everything better you just have to watch them. When I watch Ennis one thing comes to mind is that boy can fight. He is on of those very well schooled boxers with multiple dimensions.
