TLDR: You're a fighter and you follow the path of a fighter's career & legacy, which one would you follow though?

Mayweather because he took the least punishment.

Great question. As fans we wax on about legacy but at least for me personally, I’d be picking the guy who took the least punishment, retained his marbles but one who also earned good coin and held on to it.

The times were tough for Jack Johnson but he came out pretty unscathed and well preserved for all the fights he had - and he earned huge money for the original FOTC - but like so many other fighters, Jack knew how to blow his riches just as quickly.

Mayweather is the only logical answer.

    Took the least damage.

Retired undefeated with no long term issues to his health and made a ton of money.

Foreman had a fun and incredible boxing career and learnt a lot in life - made good money and is well known and respected by everyone really.

Would have been incredible experiencing being in the ring with Sonny Liston (sparring) to Ali to Holyfield.

Duran had the most fights out of any guy here, and he's still living good today. I love boxing and fighting too much to pass up an opportunity like that.

Definitely Floyd: I would be one of the best ever and on top of that very rich with little punishment taken. I already have messed up hands in real life, so it won't bother me that much.

Gerry Cooney. Fight only 30 times, retire a multi millionaire and with minimal damage to my health

I'd follow mine, with the exception of just kicking that girl to the curb, and saw how far I could get.
