Damn. Would've much preferred the Hrgovic Itauma fight.

Are you trying to say Frank Sanchez doesn't deserve a final eliminator at heavyweight for a shot at the title?!??! :godsdrink0nw:

Sanchez damn near got put out by Zhilei Zhang's leftovers in a single round.

    This prolly won't last long.

I don't want this fight because I don't want either to be kicked down the ladder.

This. Sanchez? what has he done to deserve this? Someone must have paid a bribe to IBF. Hrgovic while nothing special has at least been in meaningful fights recently.

Not a particularly exciting fight. The IBF have a strange way of doing things that show no practicality or common sense.

Obviously Usyk is fighting Dubois, and hopefully Parker gets the Kabayel fight so there isn't too many good options for Hrgovic.

If Hrgovic needs a stay busy fight - Sanchez is not the worst option but Whyte, Chisora would be better options. AJ is clearly busy in his own bubble.

As for the actual Hrgovic V Sanchez fight? I think it would be a pretty dull affair with mostly cagey and cautious moments of action with Hrgovic accumulating enough rounds with his jab to get a fairly close but fair decision.

I agree, I would rather see Hrgovic pushed into a riskier fight against, for example, Kabayel, who might even accept the fight...

Man, Kabayel would be the worst possible opponent for Hrgovic stylistically due to his body work. Fair play if Hrgovic does take that fight.

I agree with you again, Kabayel is completely the wrong style for most fighters, including Hrgovic, but Hrgovic has enough experience to give Kabayel a good fight and if he has a good day then anything is possible and ultimately if you want to be the best then you have to beat the best...

This is not going to happen.

Frank Warren has a contracted option for Hrgovic's next fight, and he's already said it will be Itauma or Whyte, likely in June.
