Lewis was in awful shape for the fight, had not even adjusted to altitude properly and paid the ultimate price of taking his opponent very lightly.

Rahman caused a big upset and cashed in on the rematch.

Lewis and his team had seen Tua and Maskeav stop Rahman and thought easy payday, HW boxing it's never always about what an opponent has done before.

I believe Rumsfeld has a good video re Lennox's chin. Watch it, everyday a school day.

Lennox had a good chin in my opinion.

If Lewis had this glass jaw his haters claim, he'd have been stopped more. And BTW, he was up on his feet in the loss to McCall.

That loss was Lewis own fault, poorly prepared, under estimated his opponent, never acclimatised properly, neither was he even focussed on the fight. As mentioned on that performance a few Heavyweights would have done the same to him,not the case however with a Lewis that was actually on point. Lewis entered the ring that night with his head full of Oceans 11 and left the ring with his head fully cleared of ever wanting to be an actor again !

100%. Ain't no way a guy who fought the guys like Ruddock, Bruno, Morrison, Briggs, Grant, Tua and Klitschko, taking some clean punches from them, can have a glass jaw.

Well he fought about 20 punchers in his career and only lost twice so I'm not sure they'd have THAT great of a chance.

    Lewis had a great chin.

Larry Holmes was hurt worse against Renaldo Snipes than Lennox was against Oliver McCall.

When Larry stood up, he had no balance. He would've fell to the floor multiple times from that single right, but Holmes luckily fell face first into the corner and the corner post kept him on his feet. (Howard Cosell yelled because he thought Larry was going to fall right into his lap. ;))

Lewis had his gloves up and knew where he was when he got up from the McCall knockdown, he just stumbled slightly forward into the ref (instead of the corner post) and the ref stopped it. Those are the breaks.

If Larry would've fell into the ref as hard as he hit that corner post, both he and the ref would've been on the floor.

But Lennox was only stopped twice in his long career by single right hands. Those were his only losses. And he beat both guys in returns.

He beat every man he fought as a pro.

So, essentially, if you didn't KO Lennox with one punch, YOU LOST.

On the other hand Holmes took multiple clean rights from McCall in their fight and didn't go down.

By your own reasoning you proved my point, a (by your own admission) similar shot didn't put him down...........................

In these situations the public looks at it as proving that the first fight was just a slip up. Same with Louis vs Walcott or Ali vs Spinks for example.

You didn't need to knock out Larry Holmes to beat him. The only way anyone beat Lewis was stopping him. And nobody could do it twice.

Yeah, but that's a different topic. We were comparing chins, right?
