This isn't a fair match up. RJJ started his career at Middleweight and only had 1 fight above Light Heavyweight. Usyk has spent his entire career at Cruiserweight/Heavyweight. Usyk is too big for RJJ and has too much of a stylistic problem for him.
Roy got his ass handed to him by numerous Southpaws.. even Del Valle floored him.. & most of the Southpaws he fought during his prime weren't that great.. certainly not on Usyks level.. Roy gets chinnned here
... Looks to me y'all need educated on John Ruiz. Not that I voted for RJJ over Usyk because of Ruiz rating or that I believe an Usyk voter would be swayed based on a higher Ruiz rating. Just that I think John Ruiz might be getting a little bit overlooked if absolutely no one is going to criticize the idea no modern HW would lose to the stall master. I mean I would not be shocked if Ruiz could teach Wlad some pointer on clinching but go ahead and claim Chisora's gonna do something. That said, I voted for Roy because his MW to HW run is unique in boxing history where as Usyk's CW/HW run is just exceptional. Only one other man ever did anything similar and weights being less in disparity during his time meant he did not need to learn to fight weighing any heavier. In fact Fitzs would be lighter as a HW than his MW weights often. Rarity breeds value kinda deal. Y'all need to keep sleeping on Ruiz though.
Cruiserweight or Heavyweight - the result is the same, Usyk shows the skill levels and exposes that glass jaw yet again.
Not true. RJJ beat... Eric Harding Reggie Johnson Richard Hall Who were good Southpaws. RJJ had an 9-0 record vs Southpaws before his first loss to Tarver which is probably one of the best records against Southpaws. RJJ had numerous losses to fighters past his prime who were orthodox aswell nothing to do with being Southpaw it's due to RJJ being shot.
Usyk stops him. I do not think much of Jones above 175. he does not have the chin and mobility for the higher weight classes.
Usyk likely stops him. Usyk uses his skill and chin to deal with these much larger folks. Roy would not have the advantage in either size or those two areas. Who knows what actually happens on the night if they fought?
Usyk wins due to size, nothing more The forum means nothing, Jones will go down as the greater fighter for sure by the majority
Jones had 15 fights at cruiserweight, the same as Usyk Usyk is greater and doesn't have a single loss let alone 11 losses like Jones, nor has he failed any drugs tests.
The people picking RJJ must be fan boys, or want him to win that matchup. There’s no way he beats Usyk.
