Man, ya can't tell me how to write and ya can't tell me who I like and don't. For me, Floyd's record is much, much better than Usyk's. And I reiterate I've never seen him looking as busted up and overwhelmed as Usyk did in Fury one. Fury did that to him. An inactive, undermotivated sub prime Fury. Actually, just because I can, make that FURY. You don't agree with me man, and that's cool, this is however a discussion board, so let's discuss...
Neither was usyk. He didn't blast through his opposition. He has lost many, many rounds. Probably lost as many rounds as Floyd with half the fights 24 world title holders past or present 12 lineal champs past or present 5 HOF fighters (more like canelo will follow) How many title holders or ranked fighters has usyk beaten? How many future HOF guys? Even with Floyd ducking an odd opponent, his resume still ***** over usyk. The talent pool is much deeper In compubox numbers Floyd is also miles ahead. Usyk did it quicker? Yes and no. He turned pro later, but remember Floyd fought way more often and was champ within 18 months or so of his career start date. He was world champ in 1998 and was still a champ and the man at 2015. So other than the castillo fight (should have been a loss) he has had great longevity against many ranked guys. Usyk just can't match these numbers no matter how many giraffes he beats with love handles. had he turned pro earlier and fought more? May be different. However, he may have some losses too if that happened. We will never know To summarise floyd has many more wins many more ranked wins much better punch stats he will for sure have more Hall of fame/great fighters on his resume when it's all said and done Manny is even greater than Floyd, but we don't need to go there lol
Again, that was the weigh in. Why are you intentionally ignoring that? You know damn well it was not one pound on fight night. If you think you are so smart, then you acknowledge that. And gross exaggerations are for the desperate.
Strong era? You mean Toney and B-hop, the other names on Jones` resume don`t match beating a giant with a 7 inch reach advantage and a 6 inch reach advantage over him.
Oh, and for the poll question. The best Usyk stops Roy late. He doesn't give him time or space for his flashy moves, he uses his gauge of time and space and slowly, methodically beats him up. Roy wasn't all that at the higher weight, certainly not in comparison to Usyk...
Being a giant doesn't matter. TONS of smaller HW's have beaten much bigger HWs. Usyk did nothing new.
Whilst I mostly agree with you I do think it’s a bit unfair to say that Usyk hasn’t beaten one great fighter. Breidis is a great fighter. Fury, for as much as I think he’s overrated is still a great fighter. And this one is not directed at you mate, but anybody saying that Usyk struggled against Chisora DKSAB. Chisora was competitive for the first part of that fight but was then systematically pulled apart by Usyk who was never in trouble, never really out of second gear and was clearly using Chisora to get some rounds in at the higher division. It was a boxing masterclass.
exactly Usyk moved up and fought the very best heavyweights, two future hall of famers. And whooped them as a big underdog Jones moved up and cherrypicked one of the weakest heavyweight title holders ever then moved straight back down.
