I need to go from 89kg to 82 in about 4 weeks. I have worked out the amount of calories i should take but i do weight training about 3 times a week. Do you think the muscle mass i gain from weight training is going to stop me meeting my weight goal if i can meet the calorie goal . If so what can i do about this ? should i stop taking the protein drinks ?

You will literally not gain a single ounce of muscle if you’re eating to lose 6kgs in 4 weeks, weight training will help you preserve what you have however.

You aren’t losing 6kgs in 4 weeks by eating that many calories - water weight yes but otherwise literal fat? Perspective you’d need to fast (little activity) for a week to lose about 2kgs a week 1.5kg Is about I don’t know for me 1200 cal give or take with a lot of exercise my maintenance calories is 2700 cals and I’m very active, I’m lighter then you by quite a bit though, you’ll look flatter / less muscular while you’re cutting in this crazy sort of pace however when you eat carbs again and start eating normal you’ll blow back up to normal size just leaner, muscle has a very high requirement for actually leaving you, you’ll lose a bit of strength doing it this intensely but it’ll rebound so quickly, if losing this weight this fast is important make yourself okay with losing (maybe) 10-15lbs on your bench for the diet and about 4 weeks after, no biggie.
