Third billed on the Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Connor Benn card at Tottenham Hotspur. Twelve rounds scheduled at light heavyweight.

They first met in 2020, with Arthur taking a split decision as Yarde was still licking his wounds the year after his first professional defeat at Sergey Kovalev's heavy and damaging hands. In their rematch nearly a year later to a day, Yarde knocked Arthur out in four rounds. Since then each man has lost just once, against either of the highest ranked pair of 175lbers (with Arthur getting dropped and shut out by Dmitry Bivol and Yarde being stopped by Artur Beterbiev).

Yarde was very effective against Beterbiev . Arthur is not in the same league with Yarde. I think Yarde will destroy him in 6.

think Arthur does have something more than yarde has now. but Yarde's hot and cold performances can be world class when he is hot. think he takes out arthur mid rounds after arthur takes a few of the early rounds.

The long awaited trilogy, nearly as excited for this as I was for Fury vs Chisora III

Commercially, Fury Vs Chisora did very well. It was well promoted even though it was a total and utter mismatch

Yarde early to mid rounds KO.

Would like to see Yarde fight Buatsi.

Pointless garbage fight, clearly Yarde was mentally off in the first fight due to a loss of confidence after the Kovalev stoppage. But even then he deserved a draw, because he came alive after the 6th round. But hey.... watching Lyndon Arthur getting beaten senseless and stopped is never a bad thing, so... bring it on!:D

I saw a tweet which said Yarde only fights 3 types of opponents:

    1. Absolute elite tier (Kovalev, Beterbiev)
    2. Complete utter garbage cans
    3. Lyndon Arthur again and again

Sums up Yarde’s career tbh, strange matchmaking.

It was criminal for both Buatsi and Yarde that their fight was never made when there was genuine hype and Buatsi was still unbeaten. It was probably big enough to warrant a PPV fight in the UK and would have made serious money for both. A proper fight for the fans too with a high likelihood of a KO. I’d still like to see it but the magnitude of the fight has decreased after Smith beating Buatsi.

Had Turki come along a few years earlier he’d have probably gotten Warren and Hearn to make a deal for it.

In terms of next fights for the two who fought today, I’d like to see Yarde-Buatsi and Whittaker-Arthur.
