Julio Cesar Chavez, where does he rank?

    Chavez seems to be a bit controversial in p4p discussion, he did go to 87-0 and I believe his world title record is essentially Joe Frazier's career 32-4-1. Where does he rank and WHY?

    #1 amongst Mexicans, maybe something like #20-25 pound for pound.

    With you in the No 1 in Mexicans, but feels like he should be higher than 20-25 not saying your wrong, far from it, just doesn't look right him at 25th !!

    Top 20-Top 30. I'd lean 15-20s range but I could see why someone could have him lower depending on what they value. Was one of the most dominant fighters in history and beat some very good fighters only real demerit against him is lack of wins against prime ATGs but I think he more then made up for it overall with his sheer dominance.

    Probably higher than many rate him. I actually think Chavez is astonishingly underrated.
