You're right of course, but it's all part of the narrative that Benn is on the back foot, when in truth this is the only fight in the game that pays him any decent money. He has to look like the underdog.
I always preferred Nigel Benn to Chris Eubank Snr. Benn was more entertaining to watch as a boxer. Eubank always came across just cringey, arrogant and pretentious. Whilst Nigel Benn came across as genuine guy. Eubank JR comes across even more arrogant, cringey and self entitled than his dad.
Mendy wasn’t that shrewd though mate, he forgot to secure a rematch for Benn as the champion is his voluntary defence against Senior in their first fight. Hilarious.
So many ppl on this thread will be crying if Benn knocks him out and Hearn and Smith celebrate wildly haha
So you're not a fan of any of the following: Canelo Alvarez, Tyson Fury, Roy Jones Jr, Mike Tyson, Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, Erik Morales, James Toney, Pernell Whittaker, Evander Holyfield, Alexander Povetkin, Dillian Whyte, Fernando Vargas, Amir Khan, Enzo Maccarinelli, Jarrell Miller, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Shannon Briggs, Ryan Garcia, Kid Galahad, Lamont Peterson, Felix Sturm, Jean Pascal, Mariusz Wach, Lucas Browne, Luis Ortiz, Oscar Valdez, Krzysztof Glowacki (and many more)
True. There'll also be tears if Benn gets splattered and career ending injury. I for one will cry. Cry my eyes out with happiness. Hope he genuinely gets career ending injury, the little scumbag rat.
I'm actually expecting this exact result now; I wouldn't be surprised if Benn knocks him out or Eubank gets stopped in the corner inside 1-4 rounds. Hoping for the opposite, but if the above occurs, it just shows how ****ed the sport currently is. Hearn knows the importance of his fighter winning tonight. If he loses, whom will his next UK PPV star be?
I doubt he will turn up, but if he does, Eubank will dismantle him, as I doubt Billy Joe is fighting fit. And BJS is very insecure about his appearance.
