Haha all I seen is Benn landing much heavier shots and Eubank struggling to stay up exhausted and rocked to his boots a few times. I believe you though.

Benn did well in stages and he has genuine explosive power but he couldn’t put down a totally weight drained 35 year old who has clearly outgrown MW.

Put Benn in there with any young natural top level MW and he gets brutally stopped. He’s a 154lb quite clearly. Has no business at WW or MW.

Love seeing Eddie's fighters losing .. the guy always gets humbled but never learns lol

Tbh great fight Benn surprised me with his effort fair play .. Benn should move back down 147 could have some success there .. interesting..

I had it a draw too. Wouldn't have complained a point or two either way. But 4 points ahead on all three judges scorecards seems wrong.

Just said the exact same mate. McKenna would box his head off and win every round at MW. Benn has no business whatsoever at 160. At 154 he may well fare ok.

he will get ironed out violently at 154 though, but yeah I can’t see how he will be able to boil down to welterweight.

If these guys had fought 2 years ago Benn would have been stopped

Yep. Whether it’s 147, 154 or 160 he eventually gets ironed out if he fights at world level. Dangerous fighter for the first three rounds and he has improved massively (with the help of drugs of course), but he has too many flaws still.

Yep this is the biggest takeaway. If Benn was as special as his dad thinks he is he would have KO’d Eubank at MW regardless of the size difference. Eubank could barely stand for the final third of the fight and pretty much won because he buried his chin into his chest and Benn lacked the ring IQ to step back and get the punches off.

Yup, and as you said Eubank is lacking that Yildrim power too,

It was a good fight, entertaining, but we all saw what Liam Smith did to a similar Eubank, and tonight we saw how far Smith has fallen from his world title days.

I think rematch and then Eubank likely retires a happy, very rich man, unless Benn wins and we get the trilogy.

I've rarely seen a fighter willing to completely empty himself like Eubank has done tonight.
He looked to be only at about 75% all night and was completely exhausted in the later rounds yet was still continously forcing the younger fresher man backwards.

I wanted him to win but have never really been a fan of his overall.
He's won me over tonight though as that was a triumph of the spirit if ever I saw it.

There's a reason baby Benn hasn't fought anyone remotely decent in his own weight and it's not hard to figure out what. He knows he'll get wiped out.

That’s what I said. Don’t have to be great boxers to be an enjoyable fight as I’ve seen many an entertaining street/pub/playground fight. That’s exactly what that was like, both average at best both living off their dads but great scrap.
