What if: Ahumada actually beats Conteh and holds the belt, and 2 years later eventually fought Lopez, like the day Conteh was supposed to fight him. 15 rounds, who prevails?
It’s a competitive fight, but the greater versatility of Lopez wins it IMO, he had better long punches and a better defence, he outboxes him there and when Ahumada does get close, it’s not like Lopez can’t fight. Ahumada is more of an earmuffs guy who abandons the long range boxing on the outside and looks to get into range, Lopez keeps that jab on him and when Ahumada commits, Lopez slips or rides the punch and then on the inside, he might even be better there, but it’s close on the inside, but that’s why the better boxing of Lopez steals it.
