    We’ll say it’s scheduled for 12 rounds.

Quarry should win, but I feel like he'd get cut up bad. Good, competitive fight ahead of a win on cuts for Damiani.

Damiani is bigger and taller than Quarry, he outweighs him by 3 inches and about 30 pounds.
This Italian boxer has an excellent and underrated technique, he is not easy to hit and has a certain power.
He does not have a skull of steel, but he could win, because he is bigger and has better technique.

Buster Mathis was bigger, taller and and overall much more talented that Damiani, and Quarry walked him down beat him soundly. I think Quarry does the same thing, except stops the Italian late.

Quarry is the much more accomplished fighter but i have a feeling that Damiani's slickness, height and reach will help him win a close decision. Good fight.

Damiani was a good all-round technician and a pretty tough cookie. He could fight well at distance and closer in. I think that this, coupled with a considerable size advantage, will see him come out on top.

Good matchup, good close fight. I think I like Quarry by a close decision, but then again if he gets cut........................

It could happen. But it also might not happen.

Mathis was a great potential talent, but unexpressed. Often poorly trained, with little athletic life. The defeat with Quarry occurred in the last phase of his career.

Mathis' weight when he fought with Quarry was Damiani's average weight, around 230 pounds.
Both had very good technique. Damiani had obtained excellent results at the Olympics, with a silver: in reality a gold, because in the final he was robbed. Among the amateurs he defeated Teofilo Stevenson and came second in the world championship.
Mathis had good technique. But so Damiani.

Quarry lost to Machen, a boxer with whom Damiani does not look out of place.
Quarry drew with journeymen boxers, like Alongi (twice) and Doyle.
Damiani could do it. In my opinion.

It looks like the Zanon fight, except the punch never comes for Quarry.

    Damiani should win.
