Fabio Wardley vs Justis Huni official for June 7th

Fair play to Huni for taking the fight at short notice, and extra kudos to him if he manages to pull it off. However I think Wardley's power will be too much for him.

 

This should not be for an interim title. We already have 4 HW champions and if we had 1 this match still shouldn't be for a title. 18-0 v 12-0. Clarke was 8-0. This should be for the Commonwealth belt its a good regional matchup.

Just more proof you can't make fights anymore with no belt on the line. Both their countrys already have a HW champ.

 

I think Huni has good Power, sometimes KO ratio is not the measure, I think he will beat Wardley who in my opinion has worse skills than Huni.

 

Good fight, respect for Huni for taking it on relatively short notice. I think Huni is more skilled, but Wardley is more dangerous with his power. I'm leaning towards Wardley.

 

They're naturally hyping the fight, it's a stadium fight after all so several 10's of 1000's of tickets need to be sold which would've been a given with Millers antics.

I'm a Brit so am going for Wardley by KO. Wardley is a far more instinctive fighter and may well be outboxed by Huni for large periods but, he only needs a sniff of weakness and he goes all out for the finish. I reckon it'll be a highly competitive back and forth right up until Huni gets caught with something big and that'll be it. Wardley has had his gut check moment, came through it and then went right back in again with the same guy and absolutely demolished him, that is quite a rare thing in a boxer and says something for Wardleys cajones.

 

True and the casuals will probably swallow the bait that Huni is a massive puncher regardless of how inaccurate an assessment it really is.

 

It would take a literal boxing masterclass from Huni.

Its possible as he is better technically than Wardley, but his chin and power worry me.

 

Huni has to be 100% percent switched on for this one.

I think it's more likely Wardley catches him lacking mid to late after looking silly in the early going.

 

Good matchup.

Huni will box Wardley off, but Wardley will land something big at some point.

Huni had trouble with Lerena's power so I tend to side with Wardley on this one.

Lerena actually looks to have decent power, he recently destroyed Radchenko who has a decent chin and he had Dubois in trouble.

Huni definitely has a deeper resume and is much more proven than Wardley, but that Clarke KO is doing a lot to make Wardley look better. In their first match he was losing pretty clearly but just landed some heavy punches that changes it.

 

Good fight, considering this fight will happen in Fabio's backyard if the judges have any reason to give it to Wardley they will. As far as the actual fight huni is the better technical boxer but Wardley posses stopping power. Its an interesting fight I can't really call it now but I can see both fighters winning this fight.

 

The Press Conference is today, both are pleasant and calm, and the Press Conference will pass in mutual respect.

Don't know much about Huni but Wardley really comes across as one of the good guys and is great for responding to fans on social media for what it's worth.

 

How come they didn't offer refunds when Miller pulled out? Promotions should be offering refunds if one of the main-event fighters pull out. When Whyte pulled out against Joshua, refunds were offered I remember.
