Full workouts and long sparring clips? (Classic fighters)

    There are a few, they’re good to fall asleep to honestly, sometimes when I can’t be bothered to watch a full fight and I want to doze off I’ll stick on one of these sorts of clips… little rope jumping, bag work and sparring it’s almost like white noise lol you guys have any?

    A poster who was there for this said Nigel got too excited here, that some people told him to cool it and he settled down (Durand a legend after all) but in the beginning he was really going for it. Good clip but it turned into play.

    Funny how you can see Nigel Benn trying to take Duran's head off,yet Duran still remains and acts like it's some fun,light spar lmao.

    According to the very excellent Tony Sibson biography (Sibbo), an even younger Benn (can´t remember if he just won the ABA title or just turned pro though I thnk it was the latter) tried the same with the veteran Sibson who put him in his place with his vaunted hooks.

    Hopefully that sparring footage shows up one day but here´s short hl of Sibson (fresh of career mauling from Hagler) taking on young undefeated prospect John Collins in the States:

    This sparring is from Duran's UK tour in 1988. Full thing used to be on YouTube. Showed loads of Duran's training, sparring and exhibitions he had with top UK amateurs at the time. Great stuff if you can find it.

    Besides the obvious his greatest draw for fighters to work with ES was the helluva stable he gave guys access to, premium sparring environment by all accounts. I can’t find it anymore but Manny had some funny things to say about what he thought of Holyfield… I think he’d have been the perfect trainer for Holy if it’d been possible to stay at 190lbs.

    It would have been interesting at heavyweight too, Holyfield never would have shown up unmotivated and would have fully adhered to what Steward told him, unlike Lewis at times
