Replay shows that first KD was a shot that Márquez blocked. The left hand was just so explosive it smashed right through his gloves and still knocked him silly.

Nakano showing "THIS is how you are supposed to excite the crowd as a lopsided undercard"

Inoue is visibly annoyed by the interviewer and is very terse.

    Tired perhaps?

    Too many media obligations?

Some Japanese brothers in the comments explain

''I’m Japanese, but I’ve never seen him in such a bad mood from the very beginning. Something must have happened before the interview. He’s only giving one-word answers to every question, and he’s even telling the interpreter to strongly say, “Stop asking about the featherweight division right now.”

''I'm Japanese, and I understand why he's feeling confused. He respects his opponent, Cárdenas, and wants people to focus on Cárdenas' fight, not on the featherweight division or other fighters. His full attention is on tomorrow's match. Talking about Nakatani or 'Bam' Rodriguez right now would be disrespectful to Cárdenas, who is stepping into the ring tomorrow. Naoya Inoue is a sincere and respectful fighter. Sorry if my English isn’t perfect, but I hope my message is clear.''

''I am Japanese. Mr. Inoue is very unhappy because this interviewer keeps talking about featherweight, and he strongly tells the interpreter not to talk about featherweight any more. He, or his father, is very realistic. He has already practically fought in five weight classes, and he thinks he has to be very careful from now on.''

''I’m a Japanese person who has been following Naoya Inoue since my high school days. Today, Naoya is visibly irritated and disappointed by the content of the interview. The interviewer should have noticed that much sooner. In particular, asking about the featherweight division right before a fight was inappropriate. In the worst-case scenario, Naoya may never agree to another interview again.''

Uppercut early in R3, another knockdown.

    10-8 and 30-24 Nakano

He is flashy and seems endowed with real power, but needs to get rid of Márquez in the next couple of rounds, else I'm concerned about his finishing ability. Márquez is using what Bradley calls a "dummy defense" against a big puncher, standing directly in front of him with a high guard and feet cemented.

Wow Nakano is deadly. Very heavy puncher. Could very well be the next Japanese future champ. Will keep an eye out on him. Very impressive from what I’ve seen.

Right hooks on the body, Márquez down a fourth and fifth time and that'll do it.

    TKO4!!

    13-0 (12)

Certainly not ready to anoint him the future GOAT from the Land of the Rising Sun or anything (especially not when the man with a robust claim to being that and competing in tonight's main event is still in his prime), but ...he's one to watch.

Inoue says his hard ceiling is featherweight, and he would like to become undisputed there. He says after tonight will be hopefully Akhmadaliev in September, and then Nakatani at 122 at some point if they both keep winning, before the jump to feather.

They're certainly no Akira Kurosawa, Kenji Mizoguchi, Masaki Kobayashi. Seijun Suzuki, Nagisa Oshima, Takashi Miike, Takeshi Kitano or Ishiro Honda.:nonono
