Agreed. I hate it. But not only for that reason... it always makes me feel a bit uneasy as the cynical side of me is constantly suspicious that the fight before the fight is gonna be fixed in some sorta way. Especially when you know that a LOT of money is gonna go down the drain if one of the fighters screws it all up. I always feel there's bound to be 'We can't let that happen' types of conversations behind the scenes. But I'm probably just super paranoid when it comes to boxing, perhaps with good reason.

Ah... in that case, makes perfect sense then. No worries. :) Didn't mean to stick my nose in... I've been banned from forums before simply for daring to have a different opinion to the majority. But yeah, that kinda **** should never be tolerated. I haven't posted a lot on here compared to others, but I always lurk and read after fight nights. This has always seemed like a cool, well-balanced place to be fair.

Im not going to argue too much over it because I dont know enough about Cardenas... but going by the eye test hes a solid fighter imo.

And sometimes a cab driver with the heart of a warrior is more dangerous than a champion with the heart of an influencer.

Cab drivers doesn’t always mean a complete bum. Fighters like Orlando Salido, Edgar Sosa, Luis Alberto Lazarte, Sho Kimura, Humberto Soto were literally cab/bus/delivery drivers themselves and were able to find success and become champs. Srisaket Sor Rungvisai was also a guy who worked as a garbage man and showed to be a solid fighter.

Also in regards to Cardenas this highlight video gives you an idea of the talent and skills he has that most people like myself have overlooked.

One more title win, and Inoue will match Mayweather's title record. Inoue = 25-0, Mayweather = 26-0

Why did Inoue get KD twice by the same punch? What adjustment did he not make?

The sheer fact that Inoue is always game to attack and go to war with other boxers is why I have him #1 P4P right now.

No one is a riskier fighter than him which makes him the most entertaining and best in my opinion.

Does anyone truly think Crawford vs Canelo will come anywhere close to this level of aggression?

Inoue is very good. He's an exciting boxer, and the fact that he's gotten dropped the way he did recently only adds to the excitement.

I just wouldn't rank him in the top 5 P4P by any stretch of the imagination. His chin and defense are a huge liability at the very highest level of boxing.

    his chin? LOL

Who do you have ahead of him assuming you have Usyk and Crawford ahead of him

You don't want him to wind up like those losers Pacquiao and Roman Gonzalez.

I think his chin is fine, Donaire chin checked him more than once, the two times he was dropped he was horribly out of position and took flush power shots and didn't look badly hurt either time. If anything I'd say he has a good chin.

His defence is fine, decent even, it's just he's very aggressive and can switch off early and be too aggressive. That's his biggest problem at the moment, he's so much better than everyone else due to lack of competition that he's become defensively complacent early in fights. That's a flaw that can be exploited. A good counter puncher could make him pay dearly for this defensive complacency.

Hopefully he learns from this, he has too, because he has flaws that can be exploited by better fighters than Nery and Cardenas. He's far from unbeatable and is about to embark on a tough run with Akhmadliev, Ball and Nakatani.

I can't see a good argument for anyone else above him P4P other than Usyk or maybe Crawford. To say he's not P4P top 5 is a stretch.

Wow! Just caught up on this!

Great fight, really showed the rest of the pack how to do it!

Inoue did his thing, but huge respect to Caredenas for coming to fight and putting everything out there to win, incredible toughness and heart!

I am hoping this actually makes the odds for Inoue-Murodjon sweeter.

Also, seeing Haney and Canelo this weekend made me wonder how much better (and boring) Inoue would be if he became a points guy and stops being offensive.
