That's a nauseating thought ,,,,,,hurl and Vomit. If it does happen it should be soon, since neither man seemed to have a bruise after their uh,,,,scuffle.
Probably another gatekeeper type, hopefully a more consistent performer so we get a better idea what he's made of... Maybe a bigger name. Joyce, Miller or Hrgovic, maybe? It depends how confident they are and how much they want to push him.
I am thinking Chisora. They are both African right? Might be interesting to the both of them. And depending on how it plays out it could be a winnable fight for both of them.
If Chisora is serious about finishing very soon, he'll want a bigger payday and a better opponent rather than what could be an easy win, I'd think?
I can see the Bakole rematch happening while they wait to see how the belt/champ situation shakes out. Otherwise another middling gatekeeper type before the belt lolly scramble after Usyk retires.
Ajagba, in fairness, has been shafted a bit here.* Whoever won the fight between Ajagba and Bakole would have been inserted into the IBF #1 slot. This draw will probably allow Chisora to fight for the title unchallenged---which is a nonsense given his and Wallin's low rankings somehow ($$$) got him into the IBF#2 slot. Who should Ajagba fight next? Personally, I would like to see him get his IBF final eliminator (against Chisora if need be). That is unlikely to happen though. *what goes around, comes around. I won't cry too hard for him
It's one of those 'officially...' things where I can't honestly say I care, because it's completely ****ed up that he'd be up there anyway. I'm not at all against him proving himself and earning a shot (even if I don't think it's massively likely) - I just think the earning it bit should come first, and throwing people into unrepresentative ranks to give them chance to earn it is assbackwards. I don't think Chisora should be made to fight him - if he wants it, fine, but I suspect he'll want someone more significant in the present (especially as it could be his last). If Ajagba can get a bigger name that makes sense financially regardless of whether he wins it... I don't see the point in a Bakole rematch, most people thought he won anyway and there's a (small) risk that Bakole actually turns up in shape if they run it again.
There will be worse options, I'm sure - Okolipuss is awful to watch, but it'd give Ajagba a name to fight and they both need fights.
