Michael Hunter became a mental mess, Ali was mentally tougher but extremely flawed and especially vs southpaws by his own admission (low IQ). He'd lose every round to Usyk or get stopped.

None of the fighters you listed were glass chinned blown up LHW's. Haye is the smallest listed and even he had a better chin + more natural size and speed than Moorer, along with more explosive power to deter aggression.

Chisora destroyed Scott (little heart but better chin than Moorer and more of a runner), Takam (much tougher than Moorer), dropped Kevin, demolished Szpilka (Chisora-Moorer in a small ring looks like this just a few rounds later), dropped Parker in seconds, dropped Joyce late, dropped Wallin multiple times. Moorer would sh*t himself, get beaten up and poleaxed by the much bigger, much tougher Chisora.

Would you rather take a left hook/right hand from 185 lbs (tops) Henry Cooper or 240 lbs Wlad? To ask the question is to answer it.

Joshua wouldn't even qualify as a top sparring partner.

Foreman sparks AJ, young or old. If AJ had thr mental fortitude of the fighters many are picking him to beat he might beat them. But he didn't. He'd hit George and watch it bounce off and then panic would set in. Ali beats him every day of the week and twice on Sunday. To steal Angelo's phrase, he'd not hit him in the ass with a handful of sand. Frazier might struggle to get out of the first two rounds, but I think he does. AJ hits hard but he doesn't have the hurt factor George brought, the complete confidence he can't be hurt. Joe maybe goes down but he gets up and he gets into a rhythm and brutalises AJ, stops him within 8. Norton v AJ might be the closest fight of them all, a war of the poses if you like. Sure Kenny's chin wasn't the best, but neither is AJs. I'm not confident in picking a winner but this could be a less cultured Holmes v Norton. AJ beats the fringe guys for me, Chuvalo, Quarry, Bonavena, Ellis etc, but the best of the them all beat him. Then Holmes comes along, maybe gets put on his arse, gets up and boxes holes in AJ winning every round he was down in.

I don't buy this recency bias. AJ was, and is, an accomplished boxer, one of the very best of HIS generation. Not of the past....

Larry Holmes had an 81 inch reach while AJ has an 82 inch reach and Larry had a better jab than anyone AJ has fought plus he had a much better chin than AJ as did Ali, there`s no way AJ could take Foreman`s power.

    This whole post is... off.

AJ's punches would bounce off Foreman? What happened when Foreman fought Lyle again? Did Lyle's punches bounce off? Just saying, AJ is 100% capable of hurting and dropping Foreman. And didn't Foreman get KO'd by someone not really known as a big puncher? And knocked down by a relative pillow fist?

How easily Foreman demolished Frazier makes me think that while it wouldn't be that easy for AJ, he'd end up doing the same. I think Frazier couldn't handle that type of power.

Norton? The guy who got knocked out by every big puncher he faced? AJ just swarms him and KO's him within a few rounds. Easy fight for AJ.
