Navarrete vs Suarez - was the cut caused by accidental headbutt or punch

Shows how clueless the officials are. The evidence is clear as day, right in front of them and they just ignore it. Feel bad for Suarez. Should be a TKO win

 

From what I see, there wasn't even really a head clash, more like a head scrape @ most. Even before seeing this zoomed in view, I never believed their heads came together w/ such force as to open that deep of a gash. I always believed that the punch initially opened the cut & the scrape may have then widened/worsened it.

 

Clearly caused by a punch. Terrible job by the ref but mistakes happen, but that of course doesn't console Suarez who should be a world champion now.

Hopefully the rematch is made because it was a very competitive fight and Suarez looked to be on top after the cut.

 

It looked to me like Navarrete's cut was caused by Suarez's punch but the replay doesn't make that clear. I wouldn't be surprised if the WBO ordered an immediate rematch.

 

I'm a fan of Navarrete but it's a punch I think.

 

I'm a fan of Navarrete but at 135 he is not good at all we see that against Berinchyk.

He will do nothing in this division.
