It isn't just hand and foot speed.

It is the whole package.

And Ali never faced a man like these SHWs in his entire career.

 

Parker might win because he has grown up watching all these guys on tape and trained an evolved version of their styles, where as they won't have seen or faced a fighter like Parker before.

He might struggle to adapt his drug regimen, diet and training to match what they had available in the 60s though. I think he could drop the weight and fight 15 rounds if required, it would probably be harder for him to adapt to how differently it was reffed.

Also fighters on average definitely hit harder these days, I'm not saying the older generation didn't hit hard and had some standouts but the average joe heavyweight packs more of a punch.

The limitations of AJ, Fury and Parker would be exposed very quickly by Ali. And they’d be dealt with ruthlessly.

Usyk is the only heavyweight around today that puts himself in a fight with Ali and has a legitimate chance. And he’s the smallest of the lot. It’s an absolute fallacy that the SHW’s are faster and hit harder than the guys that Ali fought. George Foreman was stronger and hit harder than any SHW alive today. And we all know what Ali did to him.

 

He'd beat a lot of the top 20 but loses to the best guys around that era. Ali, Liston, Frazier, Foreman.

 

He would do well imo. But people need to realise that longer distances always favour the smaller man. If Parker was fighting 15 rounders regularly, he would be lighter (unless he didn't care about gassing). Given that Parker never approaches bouts as a one hit slugger, he likely wouldn't be as big back then as some think. A current 'big' Parker may find his work rate is simply too low, especially down the stretch.

You’ve just seen a slower guy of Ali’s EXACT physical attributes, out manoeuvre both AJ and Tyson.

Not on power.

On movement.

Yet you’re telling us that an even faster guy of the same size, couldn’t also have replicated those performances.

Now on what planet would Parker, Usyk and AJ, have been able to have gone through Ali, Holmes, Foreman and Tyson etc?

Today's SHWs are MONSTERS compared with every other era. And MOBILE and POWERFUL with it.

Ali is simply too small. And he was not unbeatable even in his own day.
