Say Bruno defeated Bonecrusher Smith. Bruno fights Holmes rather than Smith. How does the fight proceed?

    Similar to the Smith bout.

Larry gets the tko stoppage due to cuts. that jab causes too many problems for Frank defensively. But he puts forth a good effort in losing. And there is zero % chance Larry takes the fight in Wembley---it takes place where lots of his bouts did--Vegas. And the DKP guy will be the one with his hand raised at the end.

I also think the Bruno camp goes after the WBA belt and does not try defeating a Larry Holmes to win a title & would be taking the path of least resistance. And Holmes is not the path of least resistance.

I think Bruno's jab gives Holmes problems for a while but Holmes wears him down for the stoppage. He might even stun Holmes a couple of times with right hands. He's not winning tho.

It takes place in the US but goes the way of the Bruno v Witherspoon fight imo.

Think the year in question is really 1984. And at that point it would have been a very hard fight for Holmes but he likely still barely pulls it off

    Hi Buddy.
Agree that Holmes would posit a win over the one dimensional Bruno, not seeing the ending being by cuts, Bruno seldom cut as far as I can remember, more like Bruno gassing around half way, prob gives Larry a few wallops before the fight is over, but Holmes had a very good chin.
    stay safe buddy, chat soon.
    Mike.

Bruno would out hustle Holmes and look pretty good for quite a few rounds, but his fragile whiskers would catch up to him by the 10th and Holmes would drop the hammer.

Can see it being similar to the Holmes V Cooney fight.

Holmes late TKO in a competitive fight.

The experienced and not noticably past it Holmes outboxes the green Bruno and stops him late, unpopular opinion, but I actually feel like the timeline favours Holmes more than Bruno.

Bruno is a tough customer, but the outcome is never doubtful.

    Holmes late stoppage.
