Also agree with it being one of the worst ppvs, but I think the recent one, also featuring Sam Goodman in Wollongong, takes the cake.

Anyone who didn't take the PPV missed out on an epic Heavyweight stoush between Stevan Ivic & Toese Vousiutu. Both guys were in big trouble during the course of the fight but showed great courage to get to the final bell. Ivic retained the Australian title by UD. Good performances also from Sam Goodman (UD10 against a live opponent), Harry Garside (TKO5) & Mounir Fathi (KO3 over Wade Ryan).

WINTER IS COMING...for Australian boxing. While fighters from other countries get treated like PAMPERED POOCHES, our blokes will be TAKING IT ON THE ROAD to the other side of the world & taking on short-priced favourites along with their overly patriotic & protective hometown officials. IT'S CRIMINAL what our blokes have to overcome to get wins overseas, but here's what's coming up as winter approaches:

8 June - Justis Huni v Favio Wardley - Justis is paying $4.20 on Sportsbet for the win. School's in for Favio, I reckon. Floats like a Butterfly, Stings like a bee will be teaching him Boxing 101. I've been saying for a while that the future of Australian boxing is in the Heavyweight division. The future starts on 8 June.

Also on 8 June - Jai Opetaia, Conor Wallace & Teremoana will be fighting at home. I foresee a triple victory for Australia.

15 June - George Kambosos Jr v Richardson Hitchens - George is paying $8.00 on Bet365 for the win. My only question is who the #%*@ is Richard Hitchens? George has a New York state of mind & is overdue for a big win. I think he takes it.

13 July - Imam Khataev v David Morell - Our imported Russian Light Heavy is paying, wait for it, $5.80 on Sportsbet for the win. If you think our Irish-Australian Light Heavy is good, try getting hit in the head by our Russian import. It's like getting abducted by aliens - you don't remember a thing.

Lastly, but by no means least...

20 July - King Timmy v Beanstalk Fundora - THE KING OF AUSTRALIAN BOXING is actually a slight favourite on Sportsbet for this one, but we all know the way the Doodles grease the pole it's an even money fight if not an uphill battle. I'm expecting the King to do his thing & it will be a case of ring-a-ding-ding.

So there you go. A big couple of months on the way. How many upsets do people reckon we're going to pull as the colder weather sets in? Winter is coming...

 

Sandman, you're starting to sound like that flog, Nick Walshaw, who is the boxing "journo" over at Fox Sports by calling Timmy the King of Australian Boxing. The King got absolutely belted in his last US outing and then beat some guy ranked 69 (Boxrec) and now everyone is all over his nuts again.

The press conference was cringe SBW is a total ass clown and I hope that Gal has enough left to take him out.
The good news is we finally get Tyson Pedro v Kris T as the co main. The fight is gonna be at the Qudos bank Arena.

 

I thought Gallen was just being petty until l listened to what he had to say. Now l get it. Well played Gallen.

 

SBW is an absolute disgrace his whole boxing career has been he has never gone into a fight as an underdog always stacking the deck in his favour and fighting guys well into their 40’s. The 2min rounds really is a joke he was happy to fight 3mins against others but not Gallen. If this fight was on foxtel it would get more hype the Stan sports production is so low budget and amateur.
