Promoter Frank Warren has revealed Joseph Parker will not fight until September, as he will wait to see the outcome of Usyk-Dubois before committing to his next opponent.

That's good, but it would be good for him to be active and fight someone in the meantime, Dave Allen for example...

Not good imo. He needs to stay active even if it’s as easy tune up on a undercard. Two rounds with an overweight bakole is not a good warm up to get into the ring with Usyk or even Dubois for that matter.

For selfish reasons I'd love him to fight Kabayel, but he's earned the right to wait and have the next shot

That would have been nice: Parker kabayel and winner goes for undisputed

I think everyone wanted that to happen
Would be a great way to bow out for Usyk, should he beat Dubouis again

Hopefully parker will not step into this trap .

If yes the following will happen : of course usyk will win the dubois fight . And then he will again sit on his belts , take his time , maybe fight jake paul .

He will continue to avoid parker and kabayel , he will never fight them . If they wait for usyk they will waste their career .

Not a good look. He should stay active. He only fought 2 rounds in the last 14 months.

You sound a bit bitter and twisted.

The money is probably poor for fighting on the Usyk vs Dubois II undercard compared to what he has been earning in his previous fights. You have to remember this isn't a Riyadh Season show. It's best for Parker to wait for the result. If Usyk wins then Parker could get the Usyk fight in December. If Dubois wins and they have a trilogy, I expect Parker to be elevated to full WBO World Champion.

Hard not to and makes it to some degree understandable that he is choosing to wait and help ensure his opportunity.

Why not fight a tomato can on a random DAZN fight night? Find him one with a good chin so he gets some rounds.

i keep harping on these. DAZN puts them on all the time. A ranked HW would be the headline event on any of them, all it would take is one call from their promoter. As long as the purse is sufficient to cover all training costs and pad the bank account a bit, seems a good way to stay busy.

George Foreman fought constantly from 87 on through his fight with Holyfield in 91. Headlined random TV fight nights doing it. Larry Holmes did the same thing between big fights in his senior career. Fight some no hoper to get rounds, and they’re always happy to have a known HW name to top a random fight night.

Parker is more deserving of the shot at Usyk than anyone else in my opinion, he should definitely take an in-between fight to stay sharp though.

David Allen deserves title shot more than Parker.
