Whoa... this is a tough one. Roy was still invincible at that time. He was about to smoke Virgil Hill like np one had or ever would. His legs and reflexes were still really live, about peak. I'm gonna say that Roy pecks out a decision while playing it very safe.

 

Facing on-a-mission Roy Jr is like being locked in a cage with a silverback gorilla.

 

Pissed Off RJJ wins by Ref stoppage early, but i don't think he knocks Artur out cold tho.

Big Difference between Griffin and Beterbiev.

 

Beterbiev crushes him, Jones wasn’t the same at 175lbs as he was at 160-168lbs, he was beatable at 175lbs and didn’t have a great chin.

Beterbiev is relentless, great at closing the ring off and has underrated skill, Jones may take the first few, but Beterbiev would begin to land more and more and would eventually crumple Jones late on, he’d force Jones to work harder than he wants early on, he’d force him to constantly move and be working to keep Beterbiev off, whilst Beterbiev himself is just cruising and applying pressure with the feet and feints.

He’d notice when Jones is slowing and would up the gears accordingly.

Of course I could be completely wrong.

 

Roy and it's not close.

 

Beterbiev has been knocked down twice early. RJJ still had tremendous power at 175 and great speed. What happens if Beterbiev runs into a big left hook and gets knocked down? He will go into defense mode. I see RJJ boxing his way to a comfortable decision.

You're on at least 3 forums AND social media for DECADES every day writing long monotonous essays of obsessive hate about Calzaghe, and being the number 1 fanboy for Jones. I've never had any particular crazy obsession (love or hate) for one fighter ever, so there's no irony there. You need serious help.

 

"If" Beterbiev has underrated defense he doesn't get hit clean often and his chin has held up pretty well when he does so I don't think he would just walk into a shot just like that. He def has the pressure style to give Jones problem as others have pointed out. Jones was never great when forced against the ropes and Beterbiev is one of the best pressure fighters at LHW.
