2 champs at 147. Both Forrest and Breland had an impressive amateur background and had a tall, rangy style with deadly power although their careers ended up being unfulfilled despite their talents. Who ends up winning here?

Great matchup between two incredibly decorated US amateurs. Both probably stayed in the amateurs and bit to long but with that said, they both still had great pro careers. I think Breland had more natural ability but he could be hurt and Forrest was a guy that could hurt you, especially with his right hand.

With both at their best, I'm going to go with Breland but I wouldn't argue with anyone that went with Forrest. Before he ruined his shoulder, he could really fight. Anyone that can beat a prime Shane Mosley twice is freaking good.

I got Forrest. As a pro I think he's much better than Mark.

    RIP, Champ!

I would have to strongly favor Forrest at his peak vs a peak Breland. Is it just me or did Forrest seem like the naturally bigger man?

Breland was slightly taller but Forrest was probably the stronger/more physical guy. Both finished their careers at 154 and both were nowhere near as good at that weight. Breland was shop worn from his hundreds of amateur fights and got dropped a lot. Forrest had a bad shoulder and just never was the same after that injury.
