was Guillermo Rigondeaux a one hit wonder?

  1. Yes, he only really had that one good win and did little else

    Because the opponents got smaller.

That is true on fighting bigger opponentsbut the effect on the fighter itself is still relevant on weight drain, not just the weight on fight might. We all know things chin, speed, endurance, are affected by how much weight was drained during camp. And some those (speed, endurance) do have an affect on power.

Again, might not make a difference on the outcome. But pure statistics does show Donaire’s performances at 118 were better there, and even stayed true at an older age.

Very true. That win put the nail in the coffin. Even worse, he actually beat Casimero, yet lost because boxing said “good riddance.”

Totally shot and still arguably deserved to win while throwing ten punches per round. Casimero lost his career’s momentum even though he left with a title.

Nobody gives a crap about “pure statistics.” It’s an individual case of two bantams who were good enough to fight at 122 without bulking.

Yup. Didn't have the greatest chin either. There's a reason some of us called him Rigondeglass!!!

I’m just saying one of those two bantams fought better at bantam than 122 going by pure performance

Donaire performed extremely well at 122 until he fought that one guy.

It is a proven fact that they were black long before that ever happened.
