Josh Kelly with an impressive win yesterday. He is now calling out Conor Benn. Who wins if they fight?
Josh Kelly can actually box and has genuine talent. An Eggless Benn would be outboxed and slapped around the ring, losing a wide lopsided points decision if this fight ever happened. Expect he avoids this one though, and goes back to smacking around semi retired pensioners.
Benn's a determined, aggressive fighter. The skill side of things probably lets him down though IMO. Has a tendency to wing his shots and fall over his front foot. He fights like he's some kind of KO machine, but isn't as bigger puncher as his style would suggest. It's hard to gauge where Conor Benn fits in at the moment, is he going to be fighting at WW from now on or LM?
The only issue I see is that if Benn full of Eggs lets the hands go and lands a heavy punch, Kelly would fold quicker than a humble branded deckchair.
Depends how much Kelly has learnt since the Avenesyan fight. Surprisingly Benn out of the two has arguably fought at the higher level in terms of opposition. I see Kelly starting strong but reckon Benn would take him down the stretch.
Roided up Benn takes Kelly out on the 2nd half. For all his faults he can swing for 12 and is a nightmare for Kelly
Kelly to win the rounds but let’s not forget the avanesyan fight, Benn is capable of putting that sort of pressure on especially if he’s got no respect for what’s coming back from Kelly, interesting fight Lets not forget they were surely being lined up to fight at one point, but once avanesyan did the number on Kelly, Eddie conveniently forgot that avanesyan existed
I actually think Benn could beat Kelly but no way Eddie puts him in with a live opponent who isn't a big draw. They will be steering him carefully towards as many big paydays as they can.
Not a bad fight this. If Benn is juiced to the gills like he normally is, then I'd probably back him, if not, he just gets schooled to a points loss.
